THE RED CENTRE ROAD TRIP

Royal Flying Doctor Service Fundraiser

Help us make a difference. Join the team from 'The Next Adventure Show' on a charity fundraising adventure to the centre of Australia and back.

What is the Red Centre Road Trip?

The Red Centre Road Trip (RCRT) is a 6500+ km motorcycle adventure through the outback, designed to showcase rural and outback Australia, inspire others to have their own adventures and to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The trip will begin on August 17th, in Brisbane and take the team through iconic outback locations such as Longreach, Winton, Alice Springs, Uluru, Cobber Pedy, stopping in Birdsville for the Birdsville Races before finishing at Australia's eastern most point in Byron Bay.

The trip will be filmed and made into a multi-episode YouTube series showcasing outback Australia and its people to the world. In addition, the team will be live streaming and posting on social media during the trip and in the lead up to the release of the episodes on "The Next Adventure Show" YouTube channel.

The goal is to raise $50,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The Team

The RCRT is being organised by Barry "Spook" Moore and Gerald "G-Mann" Pauschmann. This will be the team's third fundraising adventure. In 2019, they raced a tuk-tuk 3,000km across India and raised $50,000 for wildlife conservation charities. Prior to that, they did a similar race across Peru driving a 125cc Mototaxi over the Andes mountains and through the Amazon basin before finishing near Machu Picchu while raising money for rain forest conservation.

The COVID pandemic scuttled plans for a 2020 fund-raising adventure so the team is determined to make 2021 a raging success.

The Charity

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides a vital and often life-saving link for the people living in the outback communities the team will be travelling through.

The Flying Doctor's emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 290,000 Australians each year, that's one person every two minutes. In addition, the RFDS was selected as Australia’s ‘Most Trusted Charity’ based on Australian Reader's Digest Trusted Brands’ survey of 2021.
